This is my entry for the contest Lost in Replication by :iconpainters:

This is a study of a pastel drawing made by Degas [link]

Like I said, the original is a drawing and I choose to paint it with acrylic.
The original size of the drawing was 14" X 25" but I wanted a format with exactly de double of with for the high. I painted it on a 10" X 20". You can see I change the background for this (I double the larger of it).

Also, the original was more darker and green (as you can see in the title (dancer in green). I choose bright blue for the dress.
