I began to paint this during the summer last year. My inspiration was a black and white photo taken by my brother in law many years ago. He was a professionnal photographer and he took this one for an exhibition of ancient aprons.

wow..this is so beautiful! The details on the fabric are just wonderful. The very sparse setting, and the woman's posture makes the title you have chosen very believable. Very nicely done!

This is fabulous Moniki, the folds in her apron are exceptional, she looks so resigned to her plight, I can actually feel her through this painting. Exceptional!
You're back and what a beautiful painting Amazing mood fitting the title of the work and wonderfully rendered details in the girl's face, her clothings (especially the texture and prints of the cloth ) and the basket, actually everything's about it is marvelous
