Biography
| Born in Montreal, Monique Groleau showed a marked interest for painting at a tender age, with a preference for portraits . As a teenager, she earned pocket money by drawing portraits in pastel and charcoal. She lived for six years in Africa where she developed an ability for doing portraits from other cultures. She is fascinated by the light of the tropics as expressed by Gauguin but she looks to Colville for the realism in her art. |
Education
- Monique holds a degree in art education from the Université du Québec and teaches painting in Gatineau.
